A NEW APPROACH TO PREVENTION
Preventing Youth Mental Health Challenges Before Crisis Begins
Warp Corps is a community-based organization focused on youth mental health prevention, substance use prevention, and early intervention. We engage the McHenry County community through youth programs, street outreach, and connection to care.
We recognize the connection between mental health, substance use, and housing instability and meet individuals where they are, before challenges escalate into crisis.
Through music, art, and action sports, we create spaces for connection, belonging, and growth—strengthening protective factors that support long-term well-being. We call this Prevention Through Engagement.
What’s Up at Warp Corps?
Our Mission
Prevent Suicide, Substance Use Disorder and Homelessness
We combat mental illness, substance use disorder, and homelessness by offering healthy and positive alternatives for our community. We do this by engaging with people in need in a variety of ways including:
Street Outreach providing support to people without housing
Connecting Individuals with the care they need
Building Futures through youth programs utilizing music, art and adventure sports
About Warp Corps
At Warp Corps, we recognize the intersection of mental health, substance use disorder, and housing disparities.
By addressing all three, we are able to meet individuals where they’re at in their recovery process. This strategy is also designed to stop these issues at the source, and prevent them from reaching critical levels in young people.
